Pros
Learning how to deal with all types of people - Disharmonize Resolution Plenty of growth opportunities Tons of openings and transfer opportunities Benefits are good and there are discounts at other establishments bachelor to St. Luke's employees Sense of pride in helping others in need
Cons
Pay is way lower than it should be and salary raises are very hard to come up past, even for hard workers Hours are not always consistent, y'all can be on the clock long after your shift is supposed to end due to patients in need Not a job for sensitive individuals: this can be a stressful surroundings. Patients can be nasty, emergencies tin happen out of nowhere, your coworkers will exist stressed too and may take it out on y'all, etc. A calm caput or at least the ability to cool oneself down goes a long way. Must be on Hr and your manager constantly for your career developments and job needs. There is too much on their plate to focus on you specifically, so it'due south on you to be persistent with inquiries about your needs.

Pros
Gratuitous bottles, gratis dejeuner, costless St Luke'southward gear. They exercise try to make employees feel valued. The administration of hospital tries to brand themselves known which is really dainty!
Cons
Pay is low. The president wants everything to experience like Disney, i.e. perfect. If it is non, they try to conform you. For example, I accept a small-scale olfactory organ ring i have had since 13, I have worked at other healthcare systems and it was never an issue. the president saw me and told me even post pandemic i accept to habiliment a mask as it is unprofessional. The other hospitals i worked at, hired all types of people. it was almost how well they could perform, not how they looked on the exterior.
